Marketing & CRM Consulting
"Time Is More Valuable Than Money"
Danielle's Story
Danielle is a marketing consultant based in New York. She joined Remote Rebellion with a specific goal: find a role she could take to Spain and use to apply for the digital nomad visa. She'd spent some time applying lightly on her own to jobs in Europe, mainly in Spain and at companies with Spanish offices, but didn't know how to get through the standard application process. She also knew a move might mean a pay cut, which was hard to accept at first.
Recruiters told her they were open to global talent but weren't sponsoring Americans for visas. She started to wonder whether being American was working against her, and her pool of options felt smaller.
The support is what drew her in: three hand-picked roles a week, weekly calls, and the accountability of sharing wins and current projects with the group. That kept her on track. She got more focused, saw how resumes outside the US differ, and found LinkedIn mattered far more than she'd given it credit for. She'd only used it to search for jobs. Being active there led to in-depth conversations with four leads, and none of them came from applications. She never submitted a resume to any of them. They came from her activity and expertise showing up in her niche.
She's now a CRM consultant on a team where she's a teammate and a friend as well as an employee, and the role can go abroad with her. It gets her to her goal, and it changed how she presents herself on a personal level too.
She works full time and wants to enjoy her life, so she compares the program to hiring a cleaning service. She could clean her own apartment, but paying to save the time is worth it. The accountability, resources, networking and camaraderie got her there faster, and she says time is worth more than money. Her advice: momentum shows up eventually, and if you keep putting in the work, you'll end up with a version of what you want that still fits your goal.
