Remote Companies Are Hiring Twice As Fast as those who demand on site

Did you know that companies with remote or hybrid work policies are hiring people twice as fast as those fully committed to in-office work?

Yep, that's right!

A recent analysis showed that over the last three months, flexible remote work policies led to a 1.9% increase in headcount for companies, while office-based policies only grew their workforce by a mere 0.8%. The in-between “structured hybrid” companies experienced a 1.5% growth rate.

The trend has continued over the past 12 months, with fully flexible companies at 5.6% growth, hybrid companies at 4.1%, and full-time in-office companies trailing behind at 2.6%. Scoop's team combines Flex Index data with PeopleDataLabs data to track headcount growth in 4,500 companies from public and private sources.

You might think this is just some tech start-up magic, but guess what?

When they looked at companies of all sizes, the trend remained consistent. Both fully flexible and structured hybrid companies were rocking it, outpacing full-time in-office companies in adding headcount. Whether you're a small startup or a big enterprise with thousands of employees, remote and hybrid work can be your hiring secret weapon!

And here's the best part – even when tech firms, which have been cutting jobs lately, were taken out of the mix, the difference remained. All non-tech companies with remote or hybrid setups grew their teams at least 0.5% faster than full-time in-office firms, no matter their size.

So, what's the bottom line?

Embracing remote and hybrid work is a game-changer when it comes to hiring talent. Companies that are open to flexible approaches are hiring faster and better. Change may take time, but with the right attitude, you can unlock endless opportunities for your business.

So, if you're running a company, take a moment to consider the wonders of remote and hybrid work. You might be surprised by the positive impact it can have on your team and overall success. Happy hiring!
