Nurhidayah's Story
Nurhidayah, from Singapore, now based in France, faced a unique challenge: finding a remote role in the nonprofit and social impact sector. As a mother of two living in a small city, she needed the flexibility of remote work but struggled to find opportunities that matched her skills and experience.
After searching for nearly a year with only sporadic freelance work, Nurhidayah felt demoralized. The job hunt was taking a toll on her self-esteem and confidence. Most nonprofit roles required being based in specific cities, and she worried that Remote Rebellion's focus might not align with her niche industry.
