Why your CV is not enough to get a remote job!
What do you think is the most important thing you need in order to get a remote job?
If you think it’s your CV/ Resume- you’re wrong.
It helps, for sure- but I’m sorry to tell you that it’s not the holy grail most people think it is!
Why?
Because the remote job market is so competitive now.
Most of us got a taste for remote work in 2020 and it’s no surprise that most of us want to keep it that way!
Due to dinosaur companies calling people back into the office and the huge number of layoffs- there are a lot of good people on the market- and they’re applying for remote jobs, just like you.
I’m not saying this to discourage you- I just want to to understand that it takes more than a great CV/Resume.
In fact, I’d say it’s only 25% of the piece of the pie, and that’s just to get an interview!
Here are the other things you shouldn’t overlook.
So if you’re struggling to get a remote job, please don’t feel discouraged, instead optimise your LinkedIn, network, write a great cover letter and look in other places to find these hidden remote jobs.
