Benefits of Remote Work with Dogs

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know of my love for dogs!

When I'm in Bali, I spend a lot of time with Betty and Bert. Iā€™d take Betty for walks on the beach most mornings or at sunset, while Bert would often lounge on my lap while I worked from home.

During my time in Thailand, I had my main man (dog), Bernie - he was the best work buddy, especially since I was on a rather remote island with few humans around.

These were all things I couldn't do before remote work, and being able to work with my four-legged friends is something I treasure as one of the great perks of remote work.

Working alongside your dog also brings numerous benefits. Here are 5 ways our beloved companions can enhance our remote work experience:

1. Companionship
Their constant companionship helps combat feelings of loneliness while working remotely. Dogs also provide emotional support, sensing when you need a break and offering a game or affection during tough days.

2. Stress Reduction
Spending time with your dog reduces stress and boosts happiness. Their calming presence amidst remote work chaos provides tranquillity. Scientifically proven, petting a dog lowers stress hormones and releases oxytocin, enhancing calmness. Their playful nature and unconditional love serve as a natural stress reliever during challenging workdays.

3. Increased Productivity
Many people find that working remotely with dogs can boost their productivity and motivation. Dogs' routines aid in establishing structure, contributing to a more organised workday. Regular walks offer beneficial breaks, improving time management and preventing burnout. Caring for a dog fosters accountability, enhancing time management and work efficiency (now you know why I'm so productive šŸ˜‰).

4. Health Benefits
Regular breaks for dog walks or playtime promote physical activity and a healthier lifestyle while working from home. Engaging in these activities with your furry friend not only reduces the risk of sedentary behaviour but also provides emotional support, lowering stress levels and enhancing mental well-being.

5. Enhanced Creativity
Working with your dog can also boost creativity. The relaxed atmosphere, combined with their calming presence, fosters creative thinking. Their carefree nature encourages thinking outside the box and fresh problem-solving approaches. Your furry friend serves as a muse, igniting innovative ideas as you work remotely.

If you love dogs as much as I do, unfortunately, I can't get you a dog, but I can get you a remote job šŸ˜‰

YES! HELP ME GET A REMOTE JOB!

Stay rebellious,
Michelle
