Fully Remote: Work from anywhere - UK hours with some crossover with Japan required

Who you are
Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
Advanced proficiency in Figma and UI design for responsive web and iOS/Android apps
Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup and remain calm, focused, and adapt when things change quickly (they will).
Excellent communication — written, verbal, and cross-cultural. You have a sense of urgency and can prioritize the important tasks.

It’s a bonus if you also have:
Experience working in AI, health tech, or regulated industries.
Proficiency with tools like Google drive and asana project management software.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for design system implementation.
Japanese language proficiency (not required, but helpful).
What you’ll be doing:
Collaborate with our Product Manager & cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and user needs.
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes and dev-ready designs for web and mobile applications.
Translate concepts into visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, adhering to design principles and brand guidelines.
Work with developers to ensure seamless integration of design elements and maintain design consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design.
