Top 10 Work From Anywhere Companies
Being able to Work From Anywhere (WFA) means true freedom for many!
Despite the vast majority of employees saying they would prefer the freedom to choose where they work, there’s only a small percentage of companies that offer true Work From Anywhere.
Let’s take a look at why…
📊 Admin Complications: While Employer of Record (EOR) services like Deel & Oyster exist, they come with additional costs and administrative hurdles. Enabling employees to work from anywhere involves legal and logistical considerations.
🌐 Timezone Difficulties: Communication and coordination become complex when team members are spread across different time zones and organising online team activities can be challenging.
🎯 Recruitment Challenge: Hiring in unfamiliar markets comes with hurdles to overcome. Recruiting talent in locations where a company might lack knowledge or presence can be challenging. Understanding local talent pools, cultural nuances, and legal aspects isn’t straightforward.
💼 Tax Implications: Allowing employees to work extensively outside their country of residence can raise significant tax concerns for both the company and the employees. Different countries have varying tax laws, and prolonged work in different locations can trigger tax liabilities and compliance complexities.
I am, of course, an advocate of ‘Work From Anywhere’, so whilst I agree there are challenges to offering Work From Anywhere jobs- there are hundreds if not thousands of organisations that DO offer this!

“If your job can be done from anywhere… why not everywhere?” That’s a question more companies are finally starting to answer with action, not just policies.
A recent study by Buffer found that 98% of remote workers want to work remotely for the rest of their careers. Not part-time. Not hybrid. Fully, freely, from anywhere with a half-decent WiFi signal and strong coffee. The demand is massive. But here’s the kicker: most “remote” jobs are still chained to a country or timezone.
That’s where work-from-anywhere companies come in. They’re rare—but very real. These are the companies hiring people in Bali, Brooklyn, and Bogotá without blinking. No office. No border bureaucracy. No awkward return-to-office mandates.

1. AYR (All Year Round)
🔗 Website: https://ayr.com
AYR is a minimalist fashion brand making waves—not just with timeless jeans and wardrobe staples, but with its bold decision to go fully remote. With no corporate HQ or showrooms, the entire design, marketing, operations, and customer service teams collaborate virtually. Since ditching the office, AYR has seen explosive growth—5x revenue over three years.
Their team is lean, close-knit, and based across the U.S., where creativity is asynchronous and autonomy is the norm. For a fashion house to be fully remote is rare—and that’s exactly why AYR is a standout.
2. Remote Year
🔗 Website: https://www.remoteyear.com
Remote Year is more than a company—it’s a movement. They organize month-to-year-long travel programs for remote workers who want to explore the world without quitting their jobs. You join a curated group of professionals and live, work, and network in 12 cities across 12 months (or a shorter track if you prefer).
Their internal team lives the brand, often participating in their programs while working. The work culture? Global, transient, and rich with human connection. If you want a career with an organization that’s rewriting the rulebook on work + travel, this is it.
3. Bospar
🔗 Website: https://bospar.com
Bospar isn’t your average PR firm. They’re bold, remote, and proudly “politely pushy.” From launching political campaigns to helping tech startups land national coverage, Bospar has built a reputation for high-impact storytelling.
But what’s even more radical? Their fully distributed team—PR pros working from cabins in Oregon, apartments in London, and beach houses in Florida. Remote work isn’t a benefit here; it’s built into the DNA. Their team huddles virtually, and optional meetups make face time a choice, not a requirement.
4. Deel
🔗 Website: https://www.deel.com
Deel helps companies hire, pay, and manage global teams—compliantly. But they also are a global team. With employees in 100+ countries, Deel proves it’s possible to build a hyper-growth startup without a central HQ.
Need to onboard a developer in Ghana or a designer in Uruguay? Deel’s platform automates the contracts, taxes, and payments. Internally, they live by async-first principles, equity in communication, and flexibility. They’re not just selling remote—they’re scaling it on a massive, borderless level.
5. Coinbase
🔗 Website: https://www.coinbase.com
As the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the U.S., Coinbase is no stranger to disruption. In 2020, they declared themselves a “remote-first” company, stating that “the future of work is decentralized”—mirroring the ethos of crypto itself.
Today, their team of 5,000+ is spread across time zones, with no location bias in hiring. Want to work in fintech at the frontier of Web3 while living in a jungle bungalow or a mountaintop villa? At Coinbase, remote isn’t a perk—it’s a principle.
6. Spotify
🔗 Website: https://www.spotify.com
Spotify’s “Work From Anywhere” program gives employees the choice to work from the office, home, or any other location globally. And it’s not lip service—they back it with real support: remote stipends, flexible hours, and a deep respect for asynchronous communication.
While many companies are calling workers back to the office, Spotify is doubling down on freedom. Their distributed culture spans designers in Sweden, engineers in New Zealand, and marketers in South Africa. They’re building music’s future—anywhere there’s WiFi.
7. Fiverr
🔗 Website: https://www.fiverr.com
Fiverr isn’t just a platform for freelancers—it’s a remote company built by remote believers. CEO Micha Kaufman is outspoken about the brokenness of the 9-to-5 grind. Fiverr’s internal team works from dozens of countries and time zones, with no pressure to live in a tech hub.

8. Hubstaff
🔗 Website: https://hubstaff.com

They’re obsessed with outcomes over hours and structure their week for deep work and async updates. It’s a calm, metrics-driven environment that empowers developers, designers, and marketers to do focused work—without distractions or micromanagement.
9. FlexJobs
🔗 Website: https://www.flexjobs.com
FlexJobs is the original platform for remote and flexible work, founded in 2007—long before it was trendy. They’ve helped millions find flexible roles, and they practice what they preach: their internal team is 100% remote and spread across the U.S.
The company is mission-led, values-first, and people-centered. Their culture emphasizes work-life balance, family-first flexibility, and purpose-driven collaboration. If you want to join a team that’s advocating for the future of flexible work—and living it—FlexJobs might be your next home.
Conclusion
Remote work is no longer a perk—it’s a strategy. But true work-from-anywhere freedom? That’s still gold dust. Most companies are just dipping their toes in remote work while still obsessing over office chairs and time zones. The ones you just read about? They dove in headfirst.
Here’s your move: Don’t just apply. Position yourself. Build a portfolio. Learn async tools like Notion and Loom. Write emails that actually make people want to read them. Most importantly, make it easy for these companies to trust you across borders.
The future isn’t just remote. It’s flexible, decentralized, and global. And it’s hiring.
So go get the job. Then decide what continent you’ll work from.
