You Can Now Live In Bali For 10 Years 🌴
Indonesia is introducing a new tourist visa to attract wealthy foreigners and boost the economy, according to a press release. It is focusing its attention on Bali, the country's tourist capital, in order to attract visitors for longer periods of time. As of 25 December 2022, the new "second home" visa will be available for 5 or 10 years.
There is one catch, though…there is a minimum requirement of two billion Indonesian rupiahs (roughly $130,000) that applicants must deposit in Indonesian state-owned banks. The visa aims to attract those who will be able to "make a positive contribution to the Indonesian economy."
The move follows many other countries which have recently implemented digital nomad visas to capitalise on remote workers — such as Portugal.
I absolutely love the laid-back lifestyle, the beautiful beaches, volcanoes and nature, and the friendly people. Recently my family came to visit, and I was reminded how much I loved this island once again. We had a great time in Ubud, exploring the temples, eating delicious food and enjoying the weather. My favourite part was the pool at our villa, which had a beautiful view of the rice fields below us. It felt like we were practically in heaven!
If you’re fortunate enough to have the means for this visa, you can apply for your 10-year tourist visa today and book your flight!
